Barbecue Sites

There are two permanent barbecues near the Visitor Centre available for hire throughout the year. Each barbecue pitch is suitable for parties of up to 60 people. Larger parties will need to book both pitches. 

Barbecue hire costs (Hire charges include a 5kg bag of charcoal for a single booking and two 5kg bags of charcoal for a double booking):

60 people or fewer:

£36.00 Monday - Thursday

£47.50 Friday - Sunday

More than 60 people (double barbecue booking)

£57.00 Monday - Thursday

£68.50 Friday - Sunday

The barbecues are available either for a daytime slot (11am - 5pm) or an evening slot (6pm onwards)
Please note that a £10 deposit per barbecue is required at the time of booking. This may be paid by credit or debit card over the phone (surcharge applies for credit cards) or by credit/debit card, cheque or cash in person.

Disposable Barbecues

Disposable and portable barbecues are not permitted at Itchen Valley Country Park.

Kingfisher Room:

Children's Parties

Our Kingfisher Room is available to hire for family parties and it is conveniently situated opposite the playground and next to the toilet facilities. Combine it with the hire of a barbecue and you have a great day out!

The room is 5m x 7m and can accommodate up to 25 people seated around tables. There is a small kitchen with a sink, kettle and fridge (no cooking facilities). Mugs, teaspoons and plastic glasses and jugs are available, but no other cutlery or crockery. 

The room is available for hire on Saturdays and Sundays 11am - 4pm. This is a popular room so book early!

Cost: £42.00 per day.
