Privacy Statement and Data Protection

Eastleigh Borough Council is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit our web site. We operate in accordance with the 1998 Data protection act in respect of any personal information you may supply, e.g. name, address, e-mail, etc.

The system will record your e-mail address and other personal information if provided by you when applying for information or services on our website. This shall be treated as proprietary and confidential and will only be used by Eastleigh Borough Council and relevant third parties to provide the services you have specifically signed up for. By subscribing to these services, you are giving your consent to Eastleigh Borough Council and relevant third parties holding and using this information for those purposes. We will not sell to third parties any information you provide. As a public body we are also bound and comply with our legal obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

This statement only covers the Eastleigh Borough Web Site (www.eastleigh.gov.uk), this statement does not cover other websites linked to from within this site.

Log files/IP addresses
