Housing Report for Immigration Purposes
If you live in Eastleigh borough and want to sponsor someone
applying for a visa for entry into the UK and they plan to live in
Eastleigh borough, the Council can assist. Border entry posts
may require a report on the suitability of the accommodation,
including whether the property would be overcrowded if the person
was allowed to reside there and whether any hazards that may affect
the health and safety of an occupier exist on the premises.
A Housing Report for Immigration Purposes application form
needs to be completed and forwarded to Private Sector Housing,
Housing & Environmental Health, Civic Offices, Leigh Road,
Eastleigh SO50 9YN.

contact Private Sector Housing on 023 8068 8301.
There is a fee of £196.10 for this service which can be paid by
cheque at the time the application form is submitted. Cheques
should be made payable to Eastleigh Borough Council.
Alternatively the fee can be paid by debit or credit card or cash.
After the application form has been submitted and checked an
officer from Private Sector Housing will contact you to arrange
this.
On receipt of the completed application form and fee an Officer
will contact you and arrange a visit to carry out an inspection of
the property.
