Completed Affordable Housing Development

Completed developments within the Eastleigh borough will include a variety of different types of housing, which may include social rented, low cost home ownership, intermediate rented and older persons. Some of these homes will be wheelchair accessible. Construction on the developments below has finished and the properties will have already been advertised. Enquiries regarding whether there are any properties still to rent or sell on these developments, should be made directly to the appropriate Housing Association.

Nightingale Centre, Eastleigh

Nightingale CourtThis development was built by Bellway Homes in conjunction with Radian (formerly Swaythling Housing Society. The first phase completed in Summer 2008 and the second phase completed in Summer 2009.  The scheme delivered 37 affordable homes which were a mixture of houses and flats and were made available for both general needs rent, shared ownership and intermediate rent.

 

Hendy Ford, Chandler's FordHendy Ford

This site was developed by Linden Homes in conjunction with Thames Valley Housing Association. The development was carried out in phases throughout 2009 & 2010 and  provided 51 affordable homes. These were in a range of sizes and were available for both general needs rent and Shared Ownership.

 

Bodmin Road, BishopstokeBodmin Road

This new development of 79 new affordable houses and flats was carried out by First Wessex (formerly Atlantic Housing Limited ) Following extensive consultation, the development replaced garage blocks and 72 flats that had been marked for redevelopment as they were poorly insulated and were not economic to modernise.

The Development provided a mix of 36 two bedroom flats and 25 two and three bedroom family homes all for affordable rent and 18 flats for Shared Ownership.

 

Rotary Court, Netley AbbeyRotary Court

This scheme was redeveloped by Saxon Weald and now consists of 60 affordable  housing units which are a mixture of houses and flats. The scheme provides a mixture of older person and family accommodation for both social rent and Shared Ownership.

The older persons accommodation completed in the first during Spring 2010 and the general needs accommodation completed during Summer 2011
