Eastleigh Borough Council has published for consultation a draft Residential Parking Standards Supplementary Planning Document.  It sets out revised standards for how much car parking should be provided in new residential development, based on car ownership.  The reasons for changing the standards are set out in the document. 

The document has been advertised formally, and is available on this web site.  It can also be inspected at our offices and local libraries.  Copies can be purchased from this office, price £5.00 including. p&p.

[Note: the draft Sustainability Appraisal is included in the document.

Your views on the proposed new standards are invited.  Please can you send them to the address below by

7 November 2008.

Comments received will be reported to Eastleigh Borough Council’s Cabinet, who will agree any necessary revisions to the document in response to these views.  It will then be adopted formally as a Supplementary Planning Document to the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan Review.
