Schools out for summer!  Activity club for boys and girls aged 6 - 12.  Learn dance routines, make pom poms, karaoke, craft activities, cake decorating, tattoo designing, craft boxes and lots more.

14th September - Heritage Open Day - Mr & Mrs Cobbett at Botley

2pm, Mortimer Road car park, SO32 2UG

Between 1805 and 1815 Botley was the home of William Cobbett, author, polemicist, farmer, soldier, politician, scourge of the establishment and friend of the working man.  Meet Mr Cobett and his wife on this costumed walk around the village he called the 'most delightful in all the world.'

14th September - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Sponsored Walk

Attracting over 1500 people, this annual event is one of the largest sponsored walks in the South.  Why not join in the fun and raise money for a deserving cause?

20th September - Tales of the High Seas

21st September - Netley Walk

2pm, Netley Station, SO31 5AN

Spontaneous combustion, finding the church mouse, why netley came into being and how Queen Victoria got wet feet?  All this and more.  With a Cistercian Abbey at one end and the site of a historic military hospital at the other Netley has quite a history. 

Price £2.  Walking time 2 hours.

27th September - Hedge End to Hound Hike

9am, Hedge End Station car park, SO32 2DD

A circular longer walk between the areas using mostly off road hidden paths through woods and open spaces.  Bring a picnic lunch and drink, back by about 4.30pm.

Price £2.50.  Walking time all day.

28th September - Pubs of Hamble

This walk takes us around the pubs and drinking places of hamble village - purely in the interests of historical research of course.  Learn about the history of brewing, small beer and the churches involvement.
