Traffic and Road Safety Studies
Once a Local Area Committee has prioritised an area we have
identified for further investigation, we can carry out various
surveys and implement the appropriate measures if approved or,
where necessary, undertake a full study into the specific
issue.
The study involves the gathering of data (such as traffic speed,
pedestrian counts, injury accident data) and takes into account
comments received from the public. Consultation and liaison with
residents, the emergency services and other interested parties
would also be included where appropriate.
After discussing the various measures and options available, a
list of recommendations are proposed.
The final report is submitted to the Local Area Committee . The
recommendations, if approved, can then be actioned.
