Blue Badge Parking in Eastleigh

 

Blue Badge Permits in the Eastleigh Borough area are issued by Blue Badge Units. They are designed to help make car parking easier for people who have mobility difficulties.

 

This leaflet sets out how the Blue Badge Scheme works in the Borough of Eastleigh. Display of the badge exempts the badge holder from some waiting restrictions and parking charges.

 

If badge details (particularly the expiry date) are faded and cannot be read, the badge should be returned to the appropriate Blue Badge Unit.

 

Vehicles should be parked wholly within marked bays and not on hatched areas adjacent to any bay.

 

Parking is free in the car parks set out below for all vehicles displaying the blue badge correctly. Free parking is permitted in all bays not just those dedicated for disabled parking provided the permit is correctly displayed.

 

Parking is however restricted to the maximum time allowed in any car park. These limits will be displayed and are also set out below:

 

 

 

Vehicles displaying the Blue Badge may park for up to a maximum of three hours on single or double yellow lines. The clock must be set showing your time of arrival. No return is permitted to the same location within one hour of leaving.

 

 

Parking in dedicated on-street bays is unrestricted provided the Blue Badge is correctly displayed. Some bays are restricted to disabled badge holders for certain times of the day only. The hours are displayed on the adjacent roadside plates and outside these times the bays are available to any vehicles.
