Think Safe - Junior Citizen

 

THINK SAFE was previously called Junior Citizen.  This annual event takes place county wide and our event is hosted by Eastleigh Borough Council & Test Valley Borough Council and supported by Hampshire Police, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Hampshire Ambulance, Rail Track, Trading Standards, Animal Welfare, H M Coastguard and Hampshire County Council.

 

The event is aimed children in year 6 (10 - 11 year olds) and teaches children how to behave safely in potentially hazardous situations.

 

The usual programme for the day is seven-eight scenarios which the children are encouraged to actively participate in,  and these  cover:-   

 

  • Fire safety - Hampshire Fire and Rescue                
  • First Aid - Hampshire Ambulance
  • Sea safety - H M Coastguard                                                     
  • Road safety - Hampshire County Council
  • Counterfeit goods - Hampshire County Council Trading Standards                                
  • Stranger Danger - Hampshire Police
  • Rail Track
  • Animal Welfare
