Setting up Out of School Childcare Provision

Out of School provision includes: Breakfast clubs, Out of school clubs and some Holiday schemes which  include open access and full day care schemes for children aged 4- 14(16)

 

If you are interested in the possibility of  setting up a new childcare provision in the Borough the Childcare Development Worker  is available to offer support and advice. Here are some of the organisations and  groups we have been able to help so far; Employers, Schools, Colleges, Private Providers, Voluntary Groups and Parent Teacher Associations. 
 
The Childcare Development Worker can provide advice on:
  • Researching needs
  • Forming management committees
  • Setting up as a business
  • Sources of funding
  • Writing funding applications
  • Business plans
  • Keeping accounts
  • Recruiting staff
  • Training staff
  • Criminal Record Bureau checks
  • Registering provision
