Planning Teams

  • The Northern Team covers the areas of Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Horton Heath.
  • The Southern Team covers Hedge End, West End, Botley, Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound (Netley Abbey).
Both teams process planning applications and deal with planning appeals and queries.  These range from house extensions, changes of use and advertisements.
 
  • The Major Applications Team deals with all major development schemes in the Borough.
  • The Enforcement Team investigates breaches of planning control borough wide serving, where necessary, breach of condition and enforcement notices to stop unlawful development. The team also processes land search requests which provides planning histories on properties being sold.
  • The Planning Support Team  - Provides an information service to the customer and administrative support for the whole unit.  Each team member can deal with planning enquiries and basic information on the planning process.  The team also looks after customer care issues, are constantly looking for ways to improve the service and are responsible for all Development Control training.
