Details:
The Council is responsible for collecting and disposing of animals that are reported dead on the Borough's highways.
 
 
The Council endeavours to keep a record of the date, time and description of any cats or dogs whose bodies are removed from the highway. Their bodies are scanned to see whether they are micro chipped.
 
The police and animal charities normally deal with injured animals.
