Rolling Register
When will my name be added to the Register of
Electors?
Rolling Registration is undertaken monthly, following a
specific timetable that is set out in legislation. The table below
shows when your name will be added to the Register of
Electors.

There is no monthly update during
September, October or November during the annual canvass period
when all households have to register. A new Register is
published on 1 December.

Postal Voting
There has also been a change to the
postal voting legislation. Electors can now apply for a postal vote
for any election without meeting any criteria other than being on
the current Register of Electors. You can specify a postal vote for
a particular election or request an indefinite vote to ensure that
you are sent a postal vote every time an election is held.
- Applications to vote by post must be received eleven working
days before an election..

Unfortunately at the present time the form cannot be completed
online as a signature is required. You will therefore need to
download the form and post it to the Civic Offices. Alternatively,
if you are able to scan the completed form, it can be returned to
the Elections Office as an email attachment to the address given
below. Alternatively contact the Elections Officer, Mrs Sam Jones,
