Fleming Park Leisure Centre

 

For Eastleigh Residents who are unemployed, on a low income, disabled,

The centre provides superb facilities including: two Swimming Pools - large Main Hall - indoor Tennis Courts - Squash Courts - Function Rooms - Gym - Health Suite facilities - Bar / Cafeteria.

Extensive outdoor facilities include: a full size Artificial Turf Pitch - four Tennis Courts/Training Areas all of which are floodlit.

Sports such as 5-a-Side Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Martial Arts and Ballet run alongside activities such as Tumble Zone and Aerobics. 
Children's activities on offer include Activate sessions, Footy Mix-ins and Birthday Parties.
The Centre is host to a number of sports clubs and special events to meet the sporting and social needs of people of all ages.

What is a 'Passport to Leisure'?
The scheme enables holders of the 'Passport to Leisure' to take part at Fleming Park Leisure Centre, Bowling Green and Golf Course at special concessionary rates.
 
Do I qualify?
You may qualify for a 'Passport to Leisure' if you are:
 
  •  Unemployed and receiving job-seekers allowance
  •  Living on a low income and receiving income support
  •  A registered disabled person and receiving disability living allowance
  •  A full time student (including student nurses) over 16 years of age
  •  Over 60 years of age

 

All applicants must be resident within the Borough or registered as a student at an education establishment within the Borough.  Proof of this and your eligibility will be required on application. 
If you do not meet the specified criteria and have personal circumstances where holding a 'Passport to Leisure' would substantially improve your quality of life, write to Eastleigh Borough Council, Countryside and Recreation Services, Civic Offices, Leigh Road, Eastleigh, SO50 9YN.
 
 
How long is a card valid?
Cards are valid for the following length of time:
 
  • 12 months - Disabled people and Over 60's.
  • 6 months - Unemployed people, those on a low income. Students cards will be valid until the end of the current academic year.

 

What benefits are involved?
'Passport to Leisure' holders are entitled to use the facilities mentioned at approximately half the price of the normal adult charge (unless otherwise stated).  Some season tickets and special offers are excluded from the scheme because they already represent a discounted rate.  People with a disability who hold a 'Passport to Leisure' but require assistance to make use of the facilities may bring a companion who will be admitted free of charge.
 
 
How Much does it cost?
The 'Passport to Leisure' is provided free of charge by Eastleigh Borough Council enabling you to make full use of the facilities mentioned, operated by DC Leisure.  Children under 16 years are not able to obtain 'Passport to Leisure' cards as junior prices are already discounted.

Fleming Park Bowling Green
Available from 9:00am - 1:00pm Monday to Friday (to be booked at Bowling Green).
 
Fleming Park Golf Course
An option of 9 or 18 hole golf available from 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday. A concessionary rate annual season ticket is also available. The 'Passport to Leisure' does not apply on public or bank holidays for golf.  All activities are subject to availability.
 
Equipment Hire
Equipment is available for hire at the Leisure Centre, Bowling Green and Golf Course at normal hire rates.  Deposits will also be required.
 
How can I obtain my 'Passport to Leisure'?
Bring a completed application form ( PDF ), proof of eligibility and two passport sized photographs to Fleming Park Leisure Centre.
 
Booking facilities through 'Passport to Leisure'
'Passport to Leisure' pass holders are able to pre-book facilities in person on the day of play only. You will then be responsible for the cost of cancelled bookings.
 
Conditions
  1. The scheme is available only to residents of Eastleigh Borough and students over 16 registered at an educational establishment within the Borough (includes student nurses who meet other qualifying criteria)
  2. Application forms must be accompanied by an up-to-date proof of eligibility, such as:
    proof of unemployment status, Orange badge, Pension Book, Student card, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate, Income Support Book and Official Letters of Confirmation.
  3. "Passport to Leisure" will be issued at any time during opening hours from Fleming Park Leisure Centre
  4. Cards are valid for the following lengths of time:
    -  12 months - Disabled people and Over 60's
    -    6 months - Unemployed people, those on a low income
  5. The person to whom it is issued must only use a "Passport to Leisure".  It is not transferable. Misuse may result in its withdrawal.
  6. A "Passport to Leisure" card must be produced on each visit to a leisure facility.  If it is not produced the full adult rate will be charged for which no refund will be made.
  7. Some discounted season tickets and special offers are not included in the scheme.  The Council reserves the right to vary or amend these from time to time.
  8. The "Passport to Leisure" card must be surrendered if the holder ceases to be a resident in the Borough or ceases to be eligible for any other reason.
  9. Lost or stolen cards must be reported to the Centre of issue.  Replacement cards will only be issued at Eastleigh Borough Council, Civic Offices.  The Borough Council reserves the right not to issue or renew any "Passport to Leisure" cards.
  10. All information in this page is correct at the time of printing.  The Council reserves the right to make changes to the scheme as required to ensure its efficient and effective operation.
