Performance Review

A key part of managing the Council's wide range of issues and areas of responsibility is Performance Review.

By performance review we mean: 

• Systematic exploration of the things we do
• Reviewing the how and why we do things
• Looking at the outcomes we hope to achieve
• Testing to see whether there are better ways to use our resources to achieve the priorities set by government and local people.

The focus for this page is corporate performance review, which typically will include:

• Comprehensive performance assessment - undertaken by the Audit Commission
• Annual audit and inspection letter - produced by the Audit Commission
• Best value performance plans - produced by Eastleigh BC
• Best value reviews - undertaken by Eastleigh BC
• Peer reviews - undertaken by staff / Councillors from other Councils
