Search Help

 

The initial search box is displayed in the to right hand corner of each page. By typing in a word or phrase and clicking the search button, a results page is displayed with a link to all the pages which contain the requested word or phrase. The pages are listed in order of relevance, the pages which the system deems more likely to meet the search criteria based on the number of occurrences of the word(s) contained in the page are listed at the top.

 

The results page also contains a more advanced search facility allowing more control of the specific search requirements.

 

From the results page it is also possible to select Index Server Search from the menu on the left hand side This search works in exactly the same way but in addition will search the contents of separate Word and PDF documents for the specified word(s).
