Rats
The Council provides a Pest Control Treatment Service operated
by the Environmental Health Service for domestic and commercial
customers. In the majority of cases the Service for rats and
mice is
chargeable. However
in certain circumstances treatment is provided free or at a reduced
charge.
- PLEASE NOTE - Pest Control Officers do not
remove dead rats from property. They can be disposed of by
double bagging (carrier or bin bags) and putting in your household
rubbish bin.

Recreational Water Sampling
The Council carries out sampling of recreational waters to
assess the quality of the water for recreational or bathing
purposes.
The samples are taken at ten sites across the Borough between
May and September. the results are posted on this website
(and can be seen below), or are available in the Civic Offices Main
Reception, Lakeside Country Park, Manor Farm Country Park and at
the car park at the entrance of Royal Victoria Country Park.
