Access Keys
Access keys are designated keys on the keyboard
which, when pressed, take the user to a specific page on a
website. Access keys are particularly useful for those
who find controlling a mouse or other pointing device
difficult.
The currently defined keys for use on Eastleigh
Borough Council's website are listed below: -

Using Access Keys with Internet Explorer
- Press and hold the 'Alt' key (located on the left of the space
bar)
- Press the required number
- Press the return or enter key
Using Access Keys with Netscape
- Press and hold the 'Alt' key (located on the left of the space
bar)
- Press the required number
Using Access Keys with a Mac
Similar to the instructions above but substitute
the 'Ctrl' key for 'Alt'.
Using Access Keys with Opera
Similar to the instructions above but
use 'Shift' and 'Esc' rather than 'Alt'.
