Registration Service for Births,
Deaths & Marriages
When a death occurs it must be registered within five days, by
the Registrar of Births and Deaths for this area in which it
occurred.
We have listed below the names, addresses and contact numbers
of registration offices for your assistance.
The registration service operates an appointment system;
please telephone the appropriate office to book an appointment. You
also need to check whether only you need to go along. It may be
that someone other than you will need to give information for the
death to be registered. If the death has been referred to the
coroner, it cannot be registered until the registrar has received
authority from the coroner to do so.
