Memorials
The purchase of the Exclusive Right of burial
to a grave space includes the right to erect a memorial at the head
of the grave. Please note this is subject to the authorities
memorial regulations included in the policy for erection of
Memorials and Memorial Safety.
Memorials remain the responsibility of the
grave owners. If our staff notice an unsafe memorial, we
will endeavour to contact the grave owner to arrange repair. Should
any visitors notice an unsafe memorial, please advise a member of
staff or ring the office contact numbers as soon as possible.
All headstones/inscriptions are to be carried
out by an Approved Monumental Mason.

Masons
The following is a list of Approved Monumental
Masons whom have agreed to register with Eastleigh Borough Council,
and have agreed to work in accordance with our code of working
practice. This is based on recommendations set out by the National
Association of Memorial Masons to ensure safe fixing methods are
used.
This list is for your guidance only. You are
advised to make your own enquiries before making a decision as to
which company undertakes the work.
Any memorial mason wishing to be registered to
work within the Borough should contact the Cemetery Service office
to request an application form.
